Kick Off Ghana

Concept designs for an innovative architectural project in Ghana, to build a community football centre in Accra.

Kick off in Ghana is a live research and build project led by the Mackintosh School of Architecture and Orkidstudio, working towards building a football centre in Accra with a team of students. I contributed to the project during a year of research along with Mari Nysveen Hellum and Elise Junge, and through our individual research we sought to develop concept design proposals and a strong body of work for the project to grow from.

My area of interest was participation, and how the community could be creatively, actively and productively engaged throughout the architectural process. Through this interest I was in close contact with the clients in Ghana during the year to help develop the concept design.

Below is a range of the design work, focussing on the entire project masterplan as well as a more detailed proposal for the initial changing room block.
